Practicing for the Blue Light special on Tuesday!

I am practicing for my procedure or maybe I will become a bee keeper!
On Tuesday, about noon, I will be having my blue light procedure and will not be able to go out into the light for 48 hours.  At hour 45 we are going to leave for San Diego.  I will wear my visor with a thin scarf so that the sun will not get me in the car.  Although I will say....the new car does have special glass that filters out the UV rays.....although I do think it is also the heat of the sun that I will need to stay away from!

I found myself smiling for the camera ....duh!

Tonight we met Mark and Tami for dinner....we had some good laughs.....this was Vicki's belated birthday dinner....thank you , you two!

This is a picture of me with Mark's mom, Retha!  This picture was taken in December.....they will be here in two weeks for a weekend visit!

Today is Tuesday and I am having my procedure today.  I must admit I am a little nervous about it!

Okay, I am ready to go get my toenails done and then we will go get my face done

It seems like we are so busy.....when do we have a free day.....oops!  That's right....we have to go away in order to have a free day!

Okay, they gave me this cowboy hat to keep the sun out of my face....right, this will really work!

Now, my face does not look too bad....I wonder if it took.......I see some red blotches!

Now this is a real hat.......when I start to peal, i can cover it up when I go to Starbucks!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Happy 95th Birthday Rosine!

Today we celebrated Rosine's 95th birthday.  Here are a few highlights from her luncheon and a few highlights from the last 5 years!

209. Rosine celebrated her 90th birthday here in Phoenix...Shelley, her niece, made the celebration possible.  All of her family was present and a good time was had by all!

2010.  Rosine's first Halloween at Freedom Inn.  She won the prize for her costume!   She has always loved Halloween!

2011. Rosine's second Halloween at Freedom Inn.  She did not win a prize and she was pissed!

I did not win a prize so I am not dressing up next year!

2013, June 10.  I am not sure how or why I am in the hospital but I do not intend to stay here long!

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

Well, the day started out as usual.....Starbucks, where we did not recognize a single person in the place......and I was so hoping that the snow birds had all gone home but  by the looks of things and the packed Starbucks, with no empty tables.......I do think that they must not be done packing!  lol!

After coffee we went to see Rosine and she planned her birthday lunch for tomorrow.  It took an hour for her to decide on 2 pizza's, 20 wings, a garden salad, the dressing and the chocolate cake!  Mama Mia!  Vicki and I have a problem with gearing down to s l o w!  I hope I never get to be slow....I would drive myself crazy!

After we left Rosine we went to the pizza parlor and had lunch so we could tell Rosine if it was any good.  It was very good and was a nice discovery.  We went on and ordered the things for the lunch tomorrow! It was then that we decided to take the left over pizza home and go and take a look at the Toyota's!

There it was......my little dream car....it is a Prius and it was right in my price range.  How I would love this car and it goes so well with my skin tone!

But as you might have guessed.....Vicki had other ideas...first she tried the Camray...then we decided we had better try the Avalon.  It was not a good idea.....once you have had an Avalon you are spoiled.  Now we did not intend to buy a car today but we intended to buy one in the next few months.  The salesman did not say anything to us until Vicki bought the car and then he took me aside and told me that the air conditioner would probably go out in the next week and that the tires on the trade in were in bad shape.  Also the fender in the back was pulling away from the body from when we were hit from behind.  When I told Vicki she said....I realized today that air was on its way out....I knew we were going to need new tires next month......I saw the fender pulling away and I tried to push it back on....".OMG!  Where am I?  I DID  NOT KNOW ANY OF THIS, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?"
Well, she said, I was afraid if I said it out loud that it would happen....do you call that denial!

Tomorrow will be a busy day.  Shelley is flying in from New Mexico tomorrow morning and she will be there for the party.  Bob and Nancy will also be there!

Be careful out there!

Lunch with Friends!

This is just a short one tonight!

Monday started out with us going to the eye doctors for Vicki to have a laser treatment.  When we went out to get in the car and go to Starbucks.....guess what?  We had a dead battery!

Tuesday brought the first day of summer and I don't even want to talk about it!

This is one of the 6 shawls that I have made!

Itis a beautiful day today and it was too cold to eat inside!

This is so fun to be able to be outside under this tree!

Mary's new phone cover is on the left....Vicki's is the purple with the diamonds and mine is the red....we are so happy to get rid of our big bulky otter box, waterproof heavy covers.  Our phones feel like they have lost at least a pound each!

Bev and Mary are trying to decide what they are going to eat and what they might take home!

Bev and Mary with Betty on the left and Rita taking the picture!

Rita on the left and Mary is taking the picture.  Bev just put her house on the market and it sold in 3 days.....do you think the swimming pool helped?

Brace yourself....summer arrives next week!

Here comes summer!  I will try not to bitch too soon!
I love these trees, this one is at Rosine's place!!

Yesterday I had my C.O. and all went well....except for the 7 little polyps....they were small!
My stomach has had a few aches and pains but it seems to be all right now.

Today we went to Starbucks and then to Kohls and then to see Rosine.  She seems to be getting more and more obsessive!  Mama Mia!

Judy and Olias went to Mexico yesterday and got their hair cuts and then went to this restaurant for lunch with their friends!

This looks like a very interesting place....we may get to go there when we go over to Yuma on the 18th.

My sister is on the right and her friend is on the other side of the statue.   You thought he was real.....didn't you!

After we left Rosine's today, we met Rita and Mary for lunch at Tom Yum's.  Rita is the one that does all of the fun things with her pictures and I am forever stealing her pictures to put on the blog!

Mary did not want her picture taken because her hair was messed up....we think she looks adorable!  We had a very nice lunch and it was absolutely delicious!

Poor little Rita could not scoot over closer to the rest of us because she hurt her knee!

See what a good job Rita does with the pictures!

How meet is this.....look at those colors.....what a group!

Saying good night for now!

We ate too much! lolo!

Today was a very busy day and one where we ate too much!  Well, it should balance itself out as tomorrow I only get liquids......and Friday I get my C.O.

We started the day off by not going to Starbucks.......we slept in a little and just had one of our protein drinks.......saved our poppy seed muffins for our midnight snack tonight!  lol!

"Here we are at Cracker Barrel and I am going to have breakfast!"

"I always love coming here.....they have such cute things"

We always enjoy seeing Diane and having a nice long talk!

"I don't even want to think of either of the two of you driving a scooter!"  Do you think Bonnie has reason to be worried about Vicki or me driving a scooter to the across the street from where we would like to live someday?

"I really look nice today and I am all color cordinated
....you all know that I will be 95 next week and I look pretty darn good....and I am one of the younger folks here!"  lol!

Tonight we went out to dinner with Mark and Tami to celebrate Tami's Birthday!
                                          HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMI!

We always seem to be having very serious talks at the time I decide to take photos!

"I have to go to National Guard on Friday....it has been nice to stay at home....oops! Yes, I did just got back from Australia!"

I have been working on a couple of quilts.....Vicki is really excited because she has finished Todd's
quilt and today she started  a special quilt for Mary Lou....Vicki picked out the Jellyroll and now she is getting to put it together.  It is a lot more fun when you are not on a time schedule and can work at your own pace!

In 2010 we took a trip around South America and it was 6 weeks after their last big earthquake.

Iquique, was one of the ports that we stopped in for a days visit

Valparaiso Chili was also another one of our ports....the quake in 2010 did not effect
 the ships in the harbor.
