Our 115 day World Cruise, day 47, Kangaroo Island, Autralia

In a way it is really hard for me to believe that this is day 47.  I have hit a dull period and am not feeling manic enough to get with it! lol!

Of course, we went to Starbucks this morning and had coffee with Irwin and Sandi.  We had some really good laughs!

Yes, we went to Curves again today.  We are doing 1 circuit and then stretching.  We have decided that in order to have a good experience on our cruise this Summer that we had better get ourselves in shape. The cruise is 12 days in the British Isles and 14 days in the Baltic.  Both cruises are very port intensive and each only has 2 sea days.  We must be strong, healthy and full of ...and vinegar!  lol!
On the British Isles, the highlight will be to see "The Tattoo"  in Scotland.  The videos of it are wonderful!  On the Baltic cruise, going to St.Petersburg Russia will be the highlight for that cruise!

We got good news from my friend Mary Lou and all is well!

Today after going to Coffee and Curves we went to Joanns to find some backing for the quilt I am making.  No, they did not have any.  Next stop was Best Buy where I purchased a blue tooth for my phone.  I am excited as it works and I love it!  Then we were off to the house.  Vicki dropped me off at home and then she went to renew her drivers license which expired one week ago!  Yea for her not getting stopped by a nice policeman! lol!

I guess it is time for me to call for room service and call it a day!  Jeff has provided us with more beautiful photos!

Where we did not go today....but the Amsterdam did!

Today was a wonderful day….  We tendered ashore with Brad & Gloria on the first tender to pick up our rental car to explore Kangaroo Island for the first time.  We headed out from Penneshaw across the island to Flinders Chase National Park Visitor Center.  Here we got the recommendations of what to see and where to go.  We headed south to Admirals Arch and Cape du Couedic.  The scenery was beautiful and there was also a colony of New Zealand fur seals.  Just a beautiful spot!  Next we went to Weirs Cove to check out the coastal scenery.  The final stop was at the Remarkable Rocks, a stunning collection of huge rocks with various shapes and sizes….. Then we headed back across the island to Seal Bay, where we found some amazing scenery and a colony of Australian Sea Lions.  Then it was back to Penneshaw where we caught a tender back to the ship.  It was a wonderful day exploring this lovely island and its wildlife…..
