Well, we did it…..we slept in today! It was about 10:30 by the time we got to Starbucks. As we arrived , 3 tables of people got up and left….seemed a little strange!
We went to Bon Worth, Kyle's shoes, the drapery store and Walgreen. Did I say Good Will and QT too? We really felt like we were getting things done.
After coming home and taking a nap we jumped up and ran over to Rosines. She was in pretty good humor and we had a nice little chat. I gave her the 3 Christmas sweatshirts that I bought her and she wore one for dinner. I bought mediums but I think she needed smalls. If they are too big we will recycle them through Good Will so they can catch up with the rest of her clothes! lol!
Went to the grocery store and bought a cooked chicken and a mince meat pie and some egg nog ice cream! Yum, yum, yum!
I got the suitcases out today and we are starting to pack….the suitcases look like they have gotten smaller……go figure!
The weather was beautiful today….85 degrees yesterday. It will be down in the low 60's tomorrow, with rain and snow in the mountains!
We are not happy with our clothes and our bodies for this cruise…..wish we could trade them in on a sleek new modle! Right now we are considering going up to Anthem Outlets tomorrow ….oh me, oh my!
Part of the problem also is that they do not have laundry facilities….yes, they will wash your clothes…it is a 2 week cruise and there is a turn around time when you send your clothes out!
Are we back in the Plaza yet?
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Holiday Panama Canal Cruise Day 1 San Francisco
Well…… here I am again at my home away from home, the ms Amsterdam. It really feels great to be back here. That is not to say that I did not love my time on the Statendam… miss those nice folks already. I boarded the ship fairly early, around 9:30 and it went extremely well, no hassles…. It’s great to see my friends onboard and a few old friends as guests. I got all my unpacking done and I am ready to roll. Sail away was beautiful, the sunset remarkable!!!! The ship looks very nice, the dry dock seems to have gotten a lot done. My cabin has been refurbished, new carpet, furniture… very nice, The explorers lounge has been redone, the Canaletto redone, Ocean bar and other places I haven’t seen. I will put up some photos on sea days when it’s a slow day for photos…. Right now I am getting ready to test the new, everything we wanted in Wi-Fi, system…. We’ll see how that goes. **** UPDATE: Sorry for the delay in posting, just some growing pains with the new system…. I did this manually, much more time... not sustainable
