Vacationing in Kansas City

Here we are in Kansas City, the city of fountains.   This means I should take some pictures.  I really only know where 3 of them are....one is right down the street!  There are 60 fountains in Kansas City Missouri and it is in second place in the world for number of fountains.

We are staying in the Plaza, of course, and this is the street we are staying on.

A sunset view from our window with the plaza below!

I found this fountain as we were walking through the plaza!  This one is outside of Starbucks!

This one was in the same block!

And so was this one!  There is the condo that I want to live in, in the background!

This Starbucks is very crowded and it is very noisy.

The place is packed and so is the patio....why aren't these people at work?

The plaza looks very different with all of the Christmas lights taken down.  Soon they will start putting them all up again for the lighting on Thanksgiving night!

Yes, we did it again.  Sandi W, we found a Vera Bradley store.  Yes, we bought some things but we will still go to the Biltmore with you!  This one is Vicki's.

I could not resist this phone cover...i love giraffes!  I t does not have any rubber on it so it is slippery but I will use it until I get my one for the 2016 election!  lol!

Oops!  Vicki got one too!  I am thinking that we should not have gone into that Vera Bradley store.

Well, I got the Hipster with a matching coin purse that I use in the place of a wallet.  What fun we had!
Arrived here, Monday afternoon.  Gave Davin a call to see if he wanted to meet us for dinner.
We had dinner  with Davin.  Amy had to work.

Today, Tuesday,  Todd, Melinda Davin and Amy joined us at the Classic Cup, for a late lunch.  We tried a white Sangria which is not as good as the red, especially the one I get at Jimmy Carter's in San Diego.  We all tried something different and the food was good!

Today, Thursday we went on a tour of the  BOULEVARD BREWERY.  Melinda, Molly, Amy, Vicki and I went on the tour and then went out for lunch.

The guys, Davin, Todd and their dad Rolf watched the soccer game and had lunch together!

Very nice display room and tasting room.  I was really impressed with the great job that they did.

There was a very nice tour of the brewery and four videos a we traveled through the brewery.

                                           This is quite the process!

                                                     Very interesting!

This brewery is really nice and they have a great gift shop...one of the best I  have ever seen!

We are having fun tooQ  We also went to Chico's and got these new T shirts!

Little Mommy and little daughter.....they are having fun!  It was Melinda's idea to come her and it was a good one!
This is good stuff....I got some to take home to Davin!

Okay, tomorrow is Friday and we will see if I can remember to take pictures!

Summer is here.....just in case any of you are wondering where it is!

Happy Birthday Lou!  I know you are busy running around Alaska....hope you are having fun and that you know that we are thinking about you!  Happy Birthday!  Hope we will see you the end of July!

Yes, I know that I have not been doing my job.  What can I say?
Mark and Joshua will be happy to see that the courtyard has been trimmed and that the cactus has been dug up.  It only took them 11/2 hours.  They were really fast!

What a jungle and the cactus was trying to lift the roof off of the house!

This is really looking tacky...it grows so fast here!

Now this looks much better and the cactus is gone!

Makes me feel like I just got a haircut....oops!  I did!

Now I decided to put pictures of my tribe....sons and daughters!

This is Todd's wife Melinda....we will call her "middle daughter"

This is my daughter Tami, we will call her "oldest daughter"

This is Tami's husband and we will call him "middle son"

This is my son Davin, we will call him, "youngest son"

This is Davin's wife, Amy, we       will call her " youngest daughter"

I will admit that they are a pretty good looking tribe!  I love all of you!

Now, about the new car.....yes, we love it......yes, it is beautiful but it has and will continue to cause me problems and great embarrassment!  Twice last week, both times , on the same day, I got into a white car that was not our car.  Unfortunately they were both unlocked....only because there were people in them!  Did you know that everyone in the world has a white car?  lol!  I hate it!

We have been very lazy....Vicki is still in pain with her neck and she starts physical therapy tomorrow.

On Monday we will be leaving for Kansas City to visit the sons and their wives.  We are looking forward to it and will enjoy seeing all of them and the grand kids too!

We were not happy when we checked in at Jenny Craig....at home we were down 6 pounds and when we got there we were only down 4.  Only 3 more pounds and I will be down to what I weighed after my surgery!

Since yesterday was our weigh in day....we decided to eat out last night.  We joined Rita and Mary at the Outback and Vicki and I shared a filet.  Right across the isle sat our friend Irwin.  He was out for dinner to have his steak and his wife Sandi had gone to Florida to see the grandkids!

We always have fun and enjoy seeing Rita and Mary and Rita always takes such cute pictures!

                                   WE ARE ALL SO CUTE!

Finally a blog

This morning, Tuesday, we found my grand-daughter, Molly and her friend Stephanie on our front door.  Stephanie has a job follow up here at the School for the deaf.   They will be here today and tomorrow....they will spend the night at our house tonight and then go to Mark and Tami's tomorrow night!

"We are here!  Do you have any tape to put on our eyes as they don't want to stay open!"
The girls traveled all night ....wonder why their eyes won't stay open!  lol!Okay girls we are going to Starbucks and we will be back to get you at 11:00 and we will go running around and we will have lunch too!

On our way to lunch we took Stephanie past the School for the Deaf at 19th and Northern in Phoenix so she could see where she is going tomorrow!

Here we are at the Biltmore and it is beautiful but hotter than hell!  Oops!  Did I say that? This is where we ate last time....let's go to True Food this time!

You know I love True Food....it is one of my most favorite places!

The girls have perked up since they got 3 hours sleep!  I wonder how long they are good for?

Okay.....we ate at the Biltmore.....now we are looking at Kearland...where is the Gilato and when do we get to go swimming at Mark and Tami's?

They said that they could stay here for ever.......what does that mean.......are they moving in with Mark and Tami?  I know it is not us.......we do not have palm trees and a pool in our backyard!  lol!

They may be smiling but I do think they are fading!  It won't be long now and I think they are heading for bed!

We are too old for these whirlwind visits...it has only 24 hours ago they arrived and now they are gone again....st least we will see them this evening!  By the way....what day did you say it is?  Really?

Today is Friday and it is Stephanie's birthday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANIE!  Now you are both 22 years old!

                     HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
