Our 115 day World Cruise,day12, Callao Peru!

One of these days we are going to surprise you and do something different!  And guess what?  It will be tomorrow!  lol!

Today we were really lucky!  We were able to have coffee with  Sally and George.  It was good to see them as it has  been awhile...we have missed our "solving the worlds problems" sessions!  Did we solve any today, you ask?  You betcha!

                                                                    Sally and George
                                                            " You two look fantastic"!

After we had coffee we went, of course,  to QT and then off the Arrowhead Mall.

We got out of the car and went directly to the Apple store....we were on a mission!
Vicki's iPad Mini and her iPhone have been playing mind games with her and she is about to throw them against the wall.  Both of the devices will not hold the charge and the mini just goes dead!

''I will give you another one"!

While I was waiting for Vicki I noticed a 3 year old little boy at the  children's table playing with an iPad...amazing!

                                                                        Amazing!
Both the mini and the phone are fixed and we are out of here!

Home for our favorite lunch and then we will go and see Rosine and then  come home and I will bake muffins!  Dinner is already in the crockpot!

                                                                    Our favorite lunch!

We are home and it is only1620! These days are just too long...what would I do if I were really on the cruise?  Good question!

The muffins are wonderful and we are taking them on our tours tomorrow!

Where we did not go today..... the Amsterdam did!

Pisco Peru,   pictures from Jeff's World Adventures blog, narrative from Kween Karen's blog!

The Sea Terminal of General San Martin (Pisco) is located in Paracas Bay in a place called Punta Pejerrey, Pisco Department. The port itself is pretty sparse and is surrounded by baron desert terrain as this region is part of the south Peru coastal desert plain. There is no actual town at the port with Pisco being the nearest area of population about 22 miles away. The currency
in Peru in the Nuevos Soles (currency sign: S/) and is subdivided into 100 céntimos. The exchange rate of the Nuevo Sol is around 2.78 Nuevos Soles to 1 U.S. Dollar.
The Ballestas Islands, which are Peru‘s ver- sion of the more famous Galapagos Islands, are here. The islands are the home to Gua- nay cormorants, Peruvian boobies, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and Chilean flamingos. In the water can be found the Ballestas jellyfish, which are two feet in diameter.
