 Maura, Brunei Darussalam

From part 1 of 2:  Today was a fantastic day!  Brad & Gloria had arranged for a private car & guide to tour Brunei Darussalam.  First we drove from the port in Maura to the city of Bandar Seri Begawan.  Our first stop was a tomb of one of the past Sultans,  Tomb of Sharif Ali (3rd Sultan), very beautiful place.  Next we headed to Kampung Ayer, the water village.  The boat ride around and through the village was great.  Seeing some the boats wiz by at high speed was spectacular.  Next we went to the Kianggeh Market…  It was wonderful seeing the people doing their shopping and the people working in the market….. a definite highlight!  Next we visited the magnificent James Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.  What a magnificent structure.  Finally, we visited the Omar Ali Salfuddien Mosque with its lagoon and Royal Religious Barge….  The most beautiful shot of the day.  That is why the photo is first!  Once again, the blog is in two parts, hope you enjoy the photos….. Here is the final part…
