Day 3, Monday

Today we were quite indecisive about what we were going to do today.  At first we were going to the quilt store and then we weren't  and then we were but we  found out they are closed on Mondays and then we found out the weren't closed on Mondays and then we decided to go!  The store is one hour north of Kansas City and it is a big player in the world of quilting supplies.  It is called Missouri Star Quilt store!  Their web site is really good and they are keeping up with the times in their internet marketing.  They have specials every day and every week!
Here we are....we made it....there is no where to eat in this town so we will shop and eat on our way back!

I am so excited I don't know where to start!
This place is huge and has almost the most yardage I have ever seen....it   definitely has the biggest selection of precut fabrics in the world!

It is good that I am not getting my credit card back until Tuesday!

Beautiful and arranged so well!
We bought this one for someone special......hmmmmm

This is when you are happy that your  credit card is not working!

Took a little side trip to Crown Center but this photo did not turn out well.  the tree is hanging from the third floor and we are on the first floor!

We came home and I started working on the blog.  After about  an hour we decided to go to dinner.  We went to a place called Tom Foolary's.    We had a wonderful mac and cheese hamburger and it was wonderful!  I had an apple martini and Vicki had a beer!

Ia like this place....glad  we decided to come here for dinner.....it is really nice!

I actually feel like it is Christmas...it has been a long time since we have been in Kansas City for Christmas!

The dinner was very good ......we took a walk around the Plaza...it is beautiful!

It is so fun to look at the decorations!

The temperature is perfect.....no bitter wind blowing!

Not many cars out looking at the lights and not many people having dinner out!

We will walk around the block and then go back to the hotel!

The snow is coming on Thursday!

                                  We are just about home!

                                           The end is in sight!

                                     There is the hotel!

                                            One more picture!

One more picture to you too!

Okay, this is the last one!

You can't forget the hotel tree!

These are some special pictures of the Plaza that I did not take!  This will also let you see what our little 16 square blocks consist of.

I always want it to snow here when we come here for the holidays.  It looks like the snow will be here the day after we leave.  It is so cool!

Yes, it gets very cold here....we have been very lucky as the weather has been warmer than usual.  Wearing no jackets and only a vest does quite well.  The forecast tomorrow calls for 60 degrees.  This always happens to us...we go somewhere hoping for winter and our warm temps follow us!

This picture was taken right after the lights were turned on, at 8:00 on Thanksgiving night!  T ami, Melinda and I would be right there with all of the happy, drunk holiday fun seakers.  We would be sandwiched in the crowd, swaying to the music and hoping that the whole crowd does not topple over!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

 At Sea

The day started out pretty well, just hanging out poolside, soaking up some sun and reading….  All was good until about 1:15 when I went in to get something to eat.  I had a bit of a mishap and banged myself up pretty good.  Have a lot of healing to do.  Oh well…..  On we go!  This evening was a formal night, our last….  We had a couple of wonderful hosts for our table…  Julie from Human Resources and Rene, the Spa Manager.  It was a wonderful time at dinner.  After dinner there was a Ball in the Queen’s Lounge.  Fun way to finish out the evening.  Tomorrow I have to start getting serious about packing…
