No Zoo today, only the plumber!

THIS IS A TRAGIC DAY IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY!  YESTERDAY  JUNE 30, 2013 WE LOST 19 FIRST RESPONDERS IN ARIZONA.  MAY THESE FIRE FIGHTERS  AND THEIR FAMILIES BE REMEMBERED FOR WHAT THEY GAVE AND WHAT THEY LOST! MAY THEY REST IN PEACE AND MAY GOD BLESS AND
COMFORT  THEIR FAMILIES!

R.I.P.

Well, I will see what I can do with nothing!  We did not go to Starbucks today.  When we got up we up we immediately called the plumber as our master shower is not draining.    So started the day....the day we were to go to the zoo!  Being the adaptable people that we are, lol!  we decided that since the plumber was coming right away, we would just go to the zoo at noon and have lunch and look at the flamingos and visit the gift shops.  This decision was made at 10:00 this morning and now it is 4:30 and he just finished....well almost...until 10 minutes after he left and the lady downstairs called and said she has sludge coming through the ceiling.  Now it is 8:00 and the plumber is back!  When will it end?  lol!

In the 2 months since we were last here, this is the third back up.  Now keep in mind that all of these backups are toxic and hazardous.  duh!  This is the big disadvantage of being in a condo.  Several weeks ago, Jerry came upstairs to check the place and there was black sludge in the kitchen sink, over flowing on to the floor. Now that is a true friend who will clean up toxic waste for you!

It is so sad, the loss of the 19 fire fighters!  I guess they are all  from Arizona and the average age was 23.  What a heart breaking accident!  May they rest in peace!

Vicki has gone to the store and she is bringing me ice cream.  I did not feel well while the plumber was working so I stayed in my chair and took some naps.  We were up during the night talking about her mother and wondering what to do with her and for her!

Rosine is doing well and is back to the new and improved self.  Today she ordered new clothes from Blair, had maintenance move her    furniture again and has a full day of appointments!  That is....is she does not run out of oxygen...she is not going anywhere until they bring in new containers!  lol!

150th anniversary of  the battle at Gettysburg!

Here is where we should have been today but weren't!  A short virtual tour!

Vicki just came home from the store and we ate ice cream and the plumber is still not finished!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I will get to the zoo!
